Greenmount Beach House

Loved our one night stay here. Reception staff lovely. Room clean and nice touch with a welcome lolly bag , water bottles and bath salts. Bed comfy. Towels soft. Laundry and pool facilities available. But most of all it’s the best location for a morning beach walk to see the sunrise, surfers and whale watching all without having to get the car. Note. Parking is on first in best dressed basis but there is free street parking nearby if you miss out.

If I could give a half a star or no star at all then I would!! I have stayed at a lot of hotels the last 5 weeks and this was by far the worst one I’ve stayed at!. The rooms was very outdated, the trees was covering the “ocean views” in the king suite room. There was mould on the roof of the bedroom. The shower would go from warm cold hot cold very little pressure as well, will not return and do not recommend this place to anyone! Also on check out I almost didn’t get my bond back as I was accused of smoking in the room as the room stunk like smoke, how ever I do not smoke cigarettes!! I informed them when I returned the previous afternoon that I could smell smoke. ( could smell it in the bathroom ), I did not notify them this at the time as it was only in the bathroom and didn’t bother me as it was the last night and close to bed time. ( air freshener fixed it briefly ). I would not recommend this place to anyone absolutely disgusting! Especially with how much they charge a night doesn’t justify what you get!! STAY CLEAR FIND A BETTER HOTEL. THERE IS PLENTY OUT THEIR THATS WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!

A bit grubby, rooms weren’t clean. Bed was very uncomfy, we were rolling into eachother. The shower vents were mouldy and the sink didn’t drain. Phone in the room didn’t work. We had to park on street as there weren’t enough parks. Just not the relaxing beachy accom we were hoping for unfortunately. Seemed a bit steep in price for what it was. Wouldn’t reccommend if you are looking for clean fresh and good vibes.

Great service from the minute I walked in the door... Staff greeted me and nothing was a problem... Explained how to get in after hours... The room was massive and the bed was very comfortable... The view from my balcony was wonderful... The bathroom was great it's just that the dropped ceiling would become an issue for someone over 6 foot tall (not relevant for me thankfully)... Check out was just as easy as check in was... I will definitely recommend staying here...

I had a grand stay here. I went to Pacific Fair and stared like a gormless idiot at the Prada hand bags. I had lunch at Motto Motto. Delicious. I had a swim at Rainbow Bay. I checked into this hotel and was greeted by an impossibly attractive human being. My room smelt beautiful and my view was fantastic. I encourage other ladies to try the same day. Tomorrow early swim....

I booked Greenmount last minute as we were driving through & needed a place to stay. I was a bit apprehensive because it was a very reasonable price & I had read it was quite old. However it was exactly what we needed. Yes the building is a bit old but the important things were all great - for example the bed, was very comfortable with good quality sheets & pillow for a comfortable nights sleep, the shower was clean & had good water pressure & the aircon worked nicely. I thought it was quite unique, I loved the colour schemes & interior design. I also liked the location not directly in the hussle & bustle but close to everything. I would stay here again.
